My Cousin requested i draw Reita from the Asian band Gazette. I must admit, he was quite fun to draw!! :D
I am gonna work on watercolors for a bit cause i miss it, but the next portrait i do will be one of Johnny Depp!! :w00t:

Drawn with graphite pencils on vellum bristol paper. The vellum is still to grainy for my tastes, so I'm gonna try the next one on smooth bristol instead.

The texture and tone of this is excellent (I drew from the same reference photo a year ago, and after looking at this I'm ashamed by my own attempts) :dohtwo:
Proportionately, the face looks the slightest bit off - IRL, his face looks rounder; but besides that, I think you've got his likeness down.

Awww, thank you! And don't feel ashamed of your work, I've looked through your gallery and i can see the improvement from drawing to drawing. You are pretty talented yourself! :D
Yeah, there is quite a bit wrong with his features on mine. His eye is to big, it's slanted a little wrong, and isn't quite the right shape. Due to that his eye brow is off also. And i made his chin smaller and rounder by cutting out the right (viewers left) corner of his chin ^^; It's always these mistakes that get me.. :dummy:

I did notice that the eye was different to the reference, but I like the way it looks here.
Didn't really take in the stuff you say concerning the eyebrows and chin, but we are our own worst critics, yes?

I believe I forgot to mention that the lips, neck-lines and necklace look totally badass? :la:
